Russia welcomes the joint statement of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which confirms the intention to regulate relations and sign a peace treaty, said Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“In Moscow, they accepted with satisfaction the joint statement of the administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, which confirms the mutual intention to regulate relations and sign a peace treaty between the two countries,” Zakharova said.
Russia also welcomes the agreement between Baku and Yerevan on the release of Armenian and Azerbaijani soldiers.
“We are ready to continue to provide possible support in the matter of unblocking transport communications, border demarcation, concluding a peace agreement and contacts through civil society,” the message says.
