In Ganja took place solemn Closing ceremony of “Days of Nizami“dedicated to the work of the classic of Azerbaijani poetry, one of the largest poets of the medieval East, the largest romantic poet in epic literature Nizami Ganjavi (1141 – 1209), the press service of the Ganja State Philharmonic named after Fikret Amirov told Day.Az.
In front of the Nizami Mausoleum, the opera “Nizami” by the prominent composer, people’s artist Afrasiab Badalbeyli was presented by the teams of the Ganja State Philharmonic and the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. The artistic director of the performance, rector of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, People’s Artist Farhad Badalbeyli, highly appreciating the “Days of Nizami”, emphasized the importance of the project not only for Ganja, but also for the cultural life of the entire country.
Honored artists performed the roles in the opera “Nizami” Ramil Gasimov (Nizami), Inara Babaeva (Rena), Tural Agasiev, soloists Mahir Taghizadeh (Atabek), Talekh Yahyaev (Kyzyl Lion), Elmir Rustamov (Commander). Stage director – Honored Artist Inara Babaevaconductor – Honored Artist Eyub Guliyevchoirmaster – Honored Artist Sevil Gadzhievachoreographer-producer – Honored Artist Yuri Lobachev. The five-day project “Days of Nizami” ended with a grandiose fireworks display.
The “Days of Nizami” project was implemented from September 11 to 15 with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the executive power of the city of Ganja.
