The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced, today, Tuesday, that Iraq was the first to provide assistance to Lebanon, extending an air bridge and delivering a lot of aid, while noting that 13 hospitals were out of service and 120 ambulances were destroyed by Zionist strikes.
The Lebanese Minister of Health, Firas Al-Abyad, said during his speech to Al-Iraqiya News, and the (INA) followed him: “Iraq was the first to provide us with assistance, and the country that delivered the most medical aid to Lebanon,” noting that “Iraq extended an air bridge to Lebanon and delivered a lot of aid.” “.
He added, “13 hospitals were out of service due to the Zionist bombing,” noting that “more than 150 martyrs were workers in the health sectors.”
He stressed that “more than 120 ambulances and fire trucks were destroyed by Zionist strikes, and Red Cross personnel were targeted,” pointing out that “the Zionist enemy targeted relief convoys heading to Lebanon, and one of them was targeted yesterday.”
He expressed his surprise at “the international silence over the continued targeting of aid and medical personnel,” pointing out that “41 people were martyred and more than 120 wounded as a result of the Zionist aggression during the past 24 hours.”
He stated that “the Lebanese are not alone in confronting the aggression with the support and positions of our brothers,” stressing “Lebanon’s need for medicines and antibiotics for the wounded and an increase in clinical capacity.”
