Ranchi: Paper work has almost been done by JMMCongress and other left parties including RJD regarding Jharkhand Assembly elections. All the equations have been written on paper and the multiplication of votes has also been done. This time India Alliance is taking steps with all its might. This is the reason that this time, apart from the exchange of many seats, the names of possible candidates were also discussed in the meeting of the leaders of the alliance parties.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced the alliance in a press conference at his official residence in Ranchi on Saturday. He said that Congress and JMM will contest elections on 70 seats. Candidates from other allies will contest the remaining seats. He told that this time apart from RJD, CPI-ML has also been included in the alliance. The Chief Minister has not yet disclosed how many seats JMM and Congress will contest.

Announcement of seat sharing in the presence of Congress in-charge

JMM working president and Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced seat sharing in the presence of Congress’s Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir. However, representatives of RJD and Left parties were not present on this occasion. The Chief Minister said that talks are currently being held with the leaders of the allies included in the alliance. Hemant Soren said that after talks with RJD and CPIL, it will also become clear on which seats Congress and JMM will contest.

Seat sharing announced before Rahul Gandhi’s visit

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is going to address the Save Constitution Conference in Ranchi on Saturday evening. Before Rahul Gandhi’s visit, JMM and Congress announced seat sharing to give the message that there is no particular problem with the seat sharing in India Alliance in Jharkhand.

An attempt to sell the election by lobbying in some way

One of the reasons behind the distance in the list of candidates in India Alliance was that parties like JMM-RJD and Congress included in the alliance did not want any kind of factionalism after the announcement of the names of the candidates.

In 2019, JMM contested 41 seats and Congress 31 seats.

JMM-Congress and RJD also contested together in the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections. In that election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha contested 43 seats and Congress 31 seats. Whereas Rashtriya Janata Dal was given 7 seats. Out of which JMM got 30 seats, Congress 16 and RJD got one seat. An agreement could not be reached with the left parties in that year’s elections. But this time the Left party is also included in the India Alliance.

Like last time, this time also Hemant Soren is the CM face.

In the 2019 assembly elections, the parties included in the grand alliance contested the elections with CM Hemant Soren as the chief ministerial face and in this election the alliance got more than the required 42 seats for majority. This time also Hemant Soren will be the CM face.
