After attack on Sánchez Barrios, security will be reinforced in the Historic Center: Brugada

“There will be no impunity,” assured the head of Government, Clara Brugada when announcing the reinforcement of security in the streets of the Historic Center, after the attack against the activist and merchant leader Diana Sánchez Barrios.

Through social networks, the capital’s president announced the deployment of “all necessary resources” to identify and arrest those responsible for this aggression.

“I have instructed the SSC to deploy all necessary resources to bring those responsible to justice, as well as to reinforce the security of the Historic Center from Mexico City,” he wrote.

Regarding this fact, Brugada Molina confirmed the approach with families of the victims to provide the necessary support, while the authorities continue working on the progress of the investigation.

In a second message, the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC), Pablo Vázquez, reported that the agency works in coordination with the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office to integrate the investigations, clarify the facts and bring the alleged aggressors to justice.

The activist Diana Sanchez Barrios She was attacked with bullets this Thursday afternoon on Motolinia Street and almost on the corner of 5 de Mayo Avenue, in the Centro Historico neighborhood.

After the attack, the activist was transferred to the Siglo XXI hospital to receive the necessary medical attention, however, her state of health is unknown at this time.

Meanwhile, two men who were at the scene of the attack lost their lives, becoming the second fatal attack in broad daylight recorded this Thursday in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, after the execution of lawyer Oralia Pérez at the Viaduct crossing. Miguel Alemán, in the Roma Sur neighborhood.

“We deployed all our resources to identify and arrest those responsible for the two unfortunate events that occurred in the mayor’s office,” wrote the Secretary of Security.
