The Oral Criminal Trial Court of Viña del Mar sentenced Edward Fuenzalida, Miguel Acevedo, Maximiliano Fuenzalida, Matías Peralta, Luis Martínez and Cristian Rodríguez to 20 years in prison, while Elizabeth Soto will be in prison for six years as an accessory.
Given this decision of the Justice, Rita Olivares’ partner declared to La Tercera that “What I think is that these criminals should not be alive. “They are going to be in jail for a long time and that leaves us a little calmer.”
“A cycle is closing. They are definitely going to be in jail, but one is going to have to continue his life with a tremendous scar on his heart. It is super complicated to live this. As I have said every time they have asked me, I have said it, it is super complicated, but what does leave us calm is that they are going to be in jail for a long time,” he added.
