The Commander of the Border Forces, the human rights team, Muhammad Abdel-Wahab Sukkar Al-Saidi, confirmed today, Sunday, that the fortifications on the border with the Syrian side are tight adn cannot be penetrated.
Al-Saidi said, in a statement to the (INA): “The border fortifications are tight on the Syrian side and cannot be penetrated.”
he pointed out that “the fortification system includes a concrete wall, a blower barrier, and an iron fence, in addition to an electronic monitoring system that works around the clock to monitor any movements or illegal crossing attempts.”
He added,”The back lines include units of the Iraqi army and the Popular Mobilization Forces,” pointing out that “there are combat units trained and equipped with the latest weapons and equipment to fully secure the border.”

In addition to these physical barriers, we have implemented an electronic monitoring system that operates 24/7 to track any movements or attempts at illegal crossings.
