Tax returns in favor of the Church increase, which collects 382 million

Las tax ‌returns in favor of Catholic church continue to increase ⁢and this ​year set a new recordwhich‌ involves the assignment ⁣of 382.4 million euros for ⁢this ‌institute⁢ 6.6% more than the previous year.

The Spanish Episcopal Conference (EEC)⁤ presented ⁢the provisional data on Monday income campaign ⁣ ⁢ of the year 2024,corresponding to the fiscal year 2023,which shows​ that ⁤the number of declarations in favor ⁤of the Church was 7,839,984,which represents a 30.43% of the declarations submitted.

According to ⁤these data, there are numerous declarations in ‍favor ‌of the Church increased by 208,841. Counting the joint declarations, there are 9 million⁢ taxpayers who trust in the work of the‍ Church, the highest number of supports⁣ in the history of the system.

Thanks to these registrants the total sum⁢ assigned to the Church⁤ amounts to 382,437,998 euros, 6.6% more ⁤than the previous yearwhen it had already recorded an increase of 11.9%.

On average, the contribution ‍the Church⁢ receives from each contributor who​ checks box 42.5 euros.

The ‍EEC indicated in a ‍statement that this is one of‍ the “data ‍to reflect on”. 700,000 new filers didn’t check any boxes of which the declaration leaves taxpayers free, which implies a 1.5% decrease in ticked boxes.

Madrid, Andalusia and Catalonia, in the lead

Statements in favor of the Church they increased in 16 of⁣ the 17 autonomous‍ communities. In absolute terms,the largest increases in euros allocated⁣ occur in Madrid,Andalusia and Catalonia.

Additionally,ten communities are located ​ higher than average percentage of assignees,highlighting Castilla-La Mancha (43.2%), La Rioja (42.3%), Extremadura (42.3%), Murcia (41.9%) and Castilla y León (40.7%).

According to Treasury delegations, the province with the highest percentage of‌ allocations was Ciudad Real, with​ 50.7%. Followed by Jaén⁤ (46.03%), Badajoz (44.08%) and Ávila (44.4%).

The last three income brackets, i.e. ‍those who ‌earn more ⁤than 30,000⁤ euros a year, represent 85.1% of the collection, with a particularly significant increase in the range from ‍60,000 to 150,000 euros.

By age groups, the best evolution occurs in the age ​groups between 50 and 70and ‌based on gender, even if the distance ​is very small, the X’s in women’s statements increased more.

As regards the⁤ type ‌of‌ declaration,the percentage of ⁤collective declarations with transfer (32.43%) exceeds that of individual‌ declarations (30.75%) ⁤for the second time since the data exist.
