Speaking as part of the work⁢ of the 1st High‌ Level Forum on ⁤Artificial intelligence, held at the Mohammed ⁣VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Mr. El malki indicated⁤ that‍ the reform dynamic‍ initiated in Morocco⁣ in the sector of Education can benefit greatly from new AI technologies,‍ as a‌ lever for the transformation of schools and the education system.

Mr. El Malki ​thus highlighted the Council’s interest in ​these technologies ‍which is part of it’s full involvement in the ​project to reform the education system in all its ​components with a view to achieving the objectives of the strategic vision. by 2030.

In this sense,he detailed the roles that AI can play to catalyze the transformation of the ⁢education sector,namely⁢ personalization of learning,analysis of​ data on performance and preferences​ of learners ,strengthening the accessibility of learning and its adaptation to the pace and style of ‌learners,and also teacher training.

Mr. El Malki also‌ highlighted “the valuable support” that AI can provide to ​teachers, by automating administrative​ tasks, analyzing data on student performance and⁣ offering suggestions⁤ to improve teaching, stating that this will allow teachers to spend more time interacting with students and developing non-cognitive skills such as creativity and problem​ solving.

However, he⁣ made it known that despite the density of⁢ progress and advances that‍ this ⁤technology is experiencing ⁤in all areas of human activity, AI ⁤cannot be reduced to its simple technological dimension, specifying that it is ” called to play, in⁢ the future, a central role as⁣ a catalyst for profound transformations in⁣ behavior, economic structures and⁤ social association.

And concluded that ⁢it is indeed‌ essential to recognize that the successful integration of artificial ⁤intelligence in education requires a thoughtful and ethical approach, highlighting the importance of ensuring⁢ that AI is used in ways that strengthen‍ capacity of teachers and promote​ student-centered education, rather than ⁣wholly replacing teachers or perpetuating inefficiencies and inequalities⁢ in the system.

Placed under the ‍high Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI,‍ this three-day high-level Forum is initiated by the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) through its International Artificial​ Intelligence‍ Center of Morocco “AI Movement”, in partnership with UNESCO, and ⁤brings​ together world leaders, technology experts, ⁢policy makers and representatives of⁢ civil ⁢society to discuss the latest advances in AI in ⁢Morocco and the rest of Africa.
