Kelly Stafford’s Parenting Hack: Weed Gummies

The internet personality opens up about her unconventional parenting secret.

  • Kelly Stafford uses weed gummies to help her manage the stress of parenting.
  • She has four children with Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matt Stafford.
  • Stafford feels the gummies make her a “better parent.”

Do weed gummies really make you a better parent? Internet personality Kelly Stafford says they do! She recently shared that weed gummies are her secret weapon for navigating the ups and downs of raising her four children with NFL star Matt Stafford.

“Gummies are great,” Stafford explained on the June 16 episode of her The Morning After podcast. “Sometimes I feel like gummies make me a better parent. They calm me down. It’s like the glass of wine.”

Stafford, who shares daughters Sawyer and Chandler, both 8, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4, with the Los Angeles Rams quarterback, isn’t shy about her parenting choices. Guest Kit Hoover agreed, calling the gummies the “glass of patience.”

“Thank you for saying that,” Stafford responded. “I feel a little guilty — and it’s not like I do it every night — but sometimes I’m like, ‘S–t it has been a long day, I don’t want to rip my hair out or their hair out so I am going to just top it off with a little gummy.’”

She added that as long as her children are “in bed, fed and happy and feel loved,” she doesn’t mind how she gets them there.

She admitted that her children appreciate the more relaxed version of their mother, saying, “They’re like, ‘Mommy’s nice tonight.’”

Stafford, 36, has always been candid about the realities of motherhood in the public eye. During the last NFL season, she discussed the challenges of taking her daughters on a plane while they were dealing with the flu.

“There was a huge guilt factor to me going, ‘Should we be on this plane right now because of everyone surrounding us and everyone who has to play this game?’” she recalled on a January episode of her podcast. The Rams players were supportive, reassuring her, “Get your ass on that plane. We all need to be together.”

That was all the support Stafford needed. “That was such an incredible thing for me to hear,” she said.
