“Reconstructing” distinguishes itself through its unique creative process. The play was co-written by 21 artists identifying as Black, People of Color, and White, with ages ranging from 29 to 99. Visionary Leadership Behind the Production
The play benefits from the directorial expertise of two highly respected figures in contemporary theater. Rachel Chavkin, founding artistic director of The TEAM and a Tony Award winner for Hadestown, joins forces with Zhailon Levingston, an Obie Award winner currently working on Cats: The Jellicle Ball at the Perelman Performing Arts Center.
