Actor Alejandro Tommasi, who shared the screen with Noriega in the 2001 telenovela The Fountain, recently offered insights into her decision during an interview with Mexican media broadcast on the YouTube channel Roger MX Shows. He described Noriega as “reserved, very kind… always with a special charisma,” noting her unique talent for captivating audiences.
“She was a television actress… she never did theater, she never did films, she is a specifically television actress,” Tommasi shared, highlighting her dedication to the medium that made her a star.

Tommasi revealed that Noriega’s departure stemmed from a desire to focus on her children and a reluctance to accept roles portraying older characters. “Suddenly she is absent, for reasons that we do not know, or that some of us know, because of her children and all this had to go, anyway, but I think she is calm, I think she is a woman who did what she wanted to do, she did not want to take that step of being a lady, she always kept the youthful image and it is very valid,” he explained.
Further fueling the intrigue, former Miss Universe Alicia Machado shared with Telemundo that Noriega currently resides in Weston, Florida. “She lives in Weston […] Suddenly you sometimes find her out there,” Machado stated, offering a rare glimpse into the actress’s current life.
