Central Michigan Welcomes Promising Golf Duo in Class of 2026
Central Michigan University’s women’s golf program is poised for continued success with the addition of two highly touted recruits: Thornnatcha “Milly” Pantepin of Thailand and Mya Morgan of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, forming the core of the program’s Class of 2026.
The incoming class has generated significant excitement among coaching staff, signaling a bright future for the Chippewas. “We’re excited about the class that we have coming in in 2026,” a senior official stated.
International Flair with Pantepin’s Arrival
The program will benefit from a global perspective with the addition of Pantepin, who hails from Samut Sakhon, Thailand. The coach emphasized the strength of Thailand’s golf development system, noting that “Milly coming from Thailand, a country with a rich golf history and a ton of success in the women’s game…she will be able to come in and compete right away.” Beyond her athletic prowess, the coach highlighted Pantepin’s personality as a key factor in her recruitment, stating, “She has a great personality and I think she’ll fit right in with this group.” Pantepin recently demonstrated her skill by shooting a 2-under 70 to win the SINGHA Junior Golf Central in 2025, and placed fifth in the Play Your Best Junior Tournament in 2024. She is on track to graduate from Acellus Academy in May 2026 and intends to major in sport management.
Pennsylvania Champion Morgan Brings Proven Success
Mya Morgan arrives at Central Michigan with a decorated amateur and high school career. The Pennsylvania native has already secured two high school state individual titles and was a runner-up in the 2025 USGA Girls Junior Amateur Qualifier. “Mya has had a couple of big wins her career and had a lot of success in Pennsylvania,” the coach noted. “She’s a two-time high school state champion, which is incredibly impressive.” Her commitment to development is further underscored by her selection to the Pennsylvania National Development Team.
Morgan’s accolades extend beyond state championships. She is a two-time Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League individual champion, a three-time Western Pennsylvania Golf Association Women’s Amateur Championship participant, and earned the WPGA Girls Junior Player of the Year Award in both 2024 and 2025. She also holds the school nine-hole record with a score of 4-under 32.
Beyond her athletic achievements, Morgan is a well-rounded student and community member. She has served as a four-year team captain at Elizabeth Forward High School, is a member of the National Honor Society, and actively participates in various school clubs and volunteer initiatives. Morgan plans to major in electrical engineering and will graduate in June 2026. Her father, Anthony Morgan, is a former athlete, having played football at both the University of Pittsburgh and California University of Pennsylvania, as well as in the Arena Football League.
The addition of Pantepin and Morgan represents a significant step forward for Central Michigan women’s golf, promising a competitive and dynamic future for the program.
