Seventy-seven contestants representing provinces across Thailand take the stage at MGI Hall in Bangkok for the Miss Universe Thailand 2026 final competition on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The winner advances to represent the country at the 75th Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico.
The journey to the crown reaches its culmination tonight as Miss Universe Thailand 2026 holds its final round at MGI Hall inside Bravo BKK. Pageant organizers and fans across national and international polls have spent the week tracking front-runners as contestants move through the final phase of competition. Operating under the leadership of Nawat Itsaragrisil, or “Boss Nawat”, who serves as President of Miss Universe & CEO of Miss Universe Eastern, the event marks a major focal point for the country’s pageant community.
The competition is organized by Miss Grand International Public Company Limited, the official rights holder of the Miss Universe Thailand contest. For viewers watching from afar, the event has been lighting up fan-favorite rankings on YouTube and Dailymotion. Within MGI Hall on Rama IX Road, the atmosphere is packed with fans, provincial directors, and fan clubs, while three former titleholders—Veena Praveenar Singh, Praewwanich Ruangthong, and Ploy Amandine Ghesquière—serve as hosts.
From Food-Themed Fashion to Preliminary Showdowns
The road to tonight’s final started days earlier with standout preliminary events that dominated social media feeds. On Tuesday, August 18, contestants showcased elaborate designs during the national costume competition, adopting a theme of Fruits & Food: Thailand Soft Power that transformed the runway into an edible art gallery. Outfits featured towering headdresses shaped like durian, gowns dripping with sculpted mangosteen, and capes that look like pad thai platters, serving as regional calling cards to convey the country’s identity, abundance, and rich food and fruit culture.

Following the costume round, the seventy-seven participants moved into the preliminary competition, appearing in swimwear from the MGI Swimwear brand and evening gowns to measure stage performance skills one by one. Nawat Itsaragrisil issued a clear warning to contestants during the lead-up: Do not be complacent, front-runners might crash! If you can throw votes, hurry and throw them
.
The evaluation process relies on a scoring structure where judges account for 70% and votes account for 30%, utilizing the K Score System to determine a median score. The highest-scoring individuals among the 77 contestants combine this preliminary score with the final round, where the top 18 highest scorers advance into the top 20, alongside two additional spots coming from the Best Seller Award and Thailand’s Choice Award.
Top Contenders and Pre-Final Accolades
As scores accumulated ahead of the final night, specific provincial representatives emerged as strong contenders through fan votes and special titles. On August 15, the Queen of Udon Thani
round marked the largest provincial title for the host destination. The crown went to Manatsavee Nilbuala
as MUT Ubon Ratchathani, followed by Sudthida Eadpoo
of MUT Phuket as first runner-up. Additional top positions went to “Tarina Botes” of MUT Bangkok as second runner-up, host province representative “Helena Sarakan” of MUT Udon Thani as third runner-up, and Sophia Sasivarin Aswahirankarn
of MUT Chiang Mai as fourth runner-up. Notably, Sophia Sasivarin Aswahirankarn also recently captured the Best Performance award during the swimwear round.

Simultaneously, the preliminary leaderboard highlighted top vote-getters, with the top three spots led by MUT Phuket, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen. Voting remains active online through missuniversethailand.net.
