Durant vs. Abdia, soon together? (Reuters)
Will Danny Abdia’s Washington Wizards become a contender for the championship? According to reports tonight (Monday) in the United States, the Israeli’s team is pushing for a trade with Kevin Durant. The Wizards are looking for a way to move the star to their ranks and keep Bradley Bill by his side, with the goal of becoming a championship contender as early as next season.
Such a move would be very interesting on the part of Abdia. On the one hand the team will immediately become a candidate for the championship and Abdia will be able to become the first Israeli to appear in the playoffs, on the other hand such a trade could include the forward who may reach the second stop in his career in Brooklyn.
The trade request of Durant, who grew up in Washington and is considered one of the best in the world, has put many teams in the NBA on alert. So far, the Nets’ demands have seemed too high when Minnesota recently asked Anthony Edwards and Carl Anthony Towns as part of a possible trade for him. Maybe it’s Washington that will be able to land the star and look for its first championship since 1978.
