Danny Avdia started tonight (between Sunday and Monday) in Washington’s top five for the third time in a row, but had trouble getting into the game and scored only two points in the Wizards’ debut loss 117:107 to Cleveland in overtime. The Israeli forward did throw more from the field, but finished only 1 of 6 and added two rebounds and two steals in 14 minutes on the floor.

Cleveland fans came to the home arena to see Donovan Mitchell in action and he did not disappoint. Well, maybe a little, but he made up for it in a big way. After becoming the first Cavalier to open the season with 30 or more points in the first two games – something not even LeBron James did – he marked himself another V with 37 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.

In the last minute of the fourth quarter, the star recorded two turnovers, but he made up for it in overtime when, in the last 1:43 minutes, he recorded a three-point move and a steal to excite the Cleveland fans. At the end of legal time the Cubs managed to lose a seven-point lead, but finally Mitchell secured the win.

Cleveland, which rose to a 1:2 balance, received 16 points from Chadi Osman, 15 from Jarrett Allen, 12 from Dean Wade and 10 from Caris Levert and Mavon Mobley. Bradley Bean scored 27 points for Washington (1:2), Kristaps Porzingis added 18 and 11 rebounds, Roy Hachimura finished with 16 points and Kyle Kuzma scored 11.
