A 25-year-old man will be sentenced to three years and four months in prison for indecent behavior and damaging the tires of 14 cars in the Kazanlak village of Gorno Cherkovishte. This was announced by the District Court in Stara Zagora. Convicted N.K. has been convicted multiple times, and will serve the sentence under an initial strict regime. The act was committed in conditions of dangerous relapse.
The court found him guilty of the fact that on December 24 committed obscene actions, grossly violating public order and expressing clear disrespect for society – he threatened and insulted two men, brandished a knife at one of them, and slashed the tires of 14 cars with a knife, the court said. The case went through the procedure of summary trial, due to which the originally determined penalty was reduced by one third.
The defendant often asked for money from the residents of the village with whom he lived, the District Court also stated. After consuming a large amount of alcohol, he went to the home of one of the victims to ask for money. The door of the house was locked. NK started kicking her, shouting loudly and making threats. A man and a woman, neighbors, came to the scene. The defendant brandished a knife at the man, threatened and insulted him. This caused fear in them and they returned to their homes. The defendant decided to carry out his threats and cut the tires of the cars parked on the street with a knife.
The verdict of the District Court in Kazanlak is subject to protest and appeal within 15 days before the District Court – Stara Zagora.
In September of this year The district prosecutor’s office in Stara Zagora brought two men as defendants for having, in complicity with each other, committed obscene acts, grossly violating public order and expressing clear disrespect for society, accompanied by resistance to law enforcement agencies.
