French motorcyclist Frédéric Beaudry died on the Morocco Rally after crashing near the town of Zagora in the east of the country.

The organizers announced that the 46-year-old rider was participating in this off-road race for the second time in his career. However, he lost his balance on his motorcycle and crashed in the dunes near this settlement. The team that arrived at the scene provided first aid according to all rules and standards, after which the injured racer was transported to the nearest medical facility.

“He was given first aid as quickly as possible by one of the doctors who arrived with the medical helicopter. Then he was taken to the hospital in Zagora with the machine in question”, where he tragically died, according to a statement from the organizers. They explain that the accident happened at the 97th kilometer from the start and the French motorcyclist was found unconscious when the doctors arrived. Ironically, just before the start, Beaudry explained that he wanted to participate in the rally next year at the same time and submitted an application to be included.
