Friday March 22, around noon, Mamadou Adama Camara, a medicine seller, died in Kipé, very close to the crossroads called Métal-Guinée. He was on a motorbike on his way to the mosque when he shouted suddenly before answering God’s call. He leaves behind a widow and three children. Iskine!

It is the second Friday of the month of Ramadan. Mamadou Adama Camara, in his sixties, disabled, married and father of three children was going to the mosque to fulfill his religious obligations, when he passed away. However, everything was going well when the ”Old Beggar”, as his relatives called him, left home in the morning to run an errand before ending at the mosque. Facely Millimono was the biker who transported him. He recounts his client’s last moments: “He only has one foot and since we met, it’s me who helps him do all his shopping. This morning he found me at the crossroads, he was sweating a lot. I don’t know where it came from, he asked me to drop it off. Arriving at this level (a few meters from the mosque), he shouted: “Eh n’ga, eh n’ga” (Eh, mom! Eh, mom!), I asked him what he was suffering from, he didn’t did not respond. He bent over my back…” By the time Facely had parked the machine, “Old Beggar” slipped and fell. “The shopkeeper next door who helped me move him, we looked for water to give him a drink, but he couldn’t. It was at this moment that he gave up the ghost. I called one of his friends at the Transmitter Center to tell him to inform his family.” His wife immediately arrived on the scene. She found her husband already wrapped in a sheet. In shock, she rushed home, without saying a word.

Abdoul Ghadiry Baldé, head of the Kaporo-rails union, is one of the deceased’s friends. He met his wife: “When I was informed, I went to see his wife. I asked her if her husband was sick? She replied ”No”, that he was suffering absolutely nothing when he left the house this morning. I asked the woman to come with me. She asked me why, I told her it was someone who would like to see her with her husband. We came, I wanted him to be taken to the hospital, but he was already dead. » Ghadiry Baldé affirms that his friend was not ill.

Security agents arrived at the scene of death, accompanied by an ambulance and a forensic doctor, who did not want to speak to the press, nor reveal what Adama Camara died of. After examining the remains for around twenty minutes, they decided to return them to the grieving family. The body was placed at the mosque for purification followed by burial. Mamadou Adama Camara was buried this same Friday, March 22, at the Kipé cemetery, after the 4:45 p.m. prayer.
