Speed up the detection of duplicate photos: Another reason for the low iPhone battery after the iOS 16 update is the Apple Photos app, which periodically indexes your library to get rid of duplicate photos and videos in the background.
This process, Apple claims, may take days at first depending on the amount of media on your phone.
