A new seismic tremor was reported in Naples on the night of Monday to Tuesday as the Italian club hosts Real Madrid at 9 p.m. for its second Champions League match of the season.
Affected by numerous seismic tremors for several days, the city of Naples was once again the victim of an earthquake in recent hours, a few hours before the Champions League match at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium between Napoli and Real Madrid this Tuesday evening (9 p.m.). A magnitude 4 earthquake was felt Monday evening, around 10 p.m. Then a new tremor of magnitude 2.2 was recorded during the night, around 4 a.m.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Phlegraean Fields, at a depth of around 3 kilometers, between the coastal towns of Naples and Pozzuoli, according to theNational Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology (INGV).

The earthquake was felt in several Neapolitan neighborhoods, creating panic among residents. Images shared on social networks show partially damaged walls. No injuries or major damage have been reported after these two earthquakes, civil protection informs on X (formerly Twitter).
The region of the Phlegrean Fields volcano has been plagued for several days by a succession of weak seismic tremors. On Wednesday, another earthquake of magnitude 4.2, the strongest in 40 years in this area, was reported. The director of the INGV Mauro Di Vito had judged “possible that tremors of greater intensity will occur”.
