A Spanish press report stated that Barcelona began thinking about a new name to compensate for the departure of its coach, Xavi Hernandez, after the end of the current season.
Xavi announced his departure from Barcelona at the end of the current season, following the loss of the Spanish Super Cup and bidding farewell to the Spanish Cup.
According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, German Julian Nagelsmann, coach of the German national team, has joined the list of candidates to succeed Xavi.
Nagelsmann has a contract with the German Football Association, but everything is possible after the European Nations Cup finals next summer.
The newspaper added that Barcelona will contact Nagelsmann to find out the extent of his readiness to train Barcelona, and the conditions he will set for coming to Camp Nou.
She confirmed that Nagelsmann is one of the coaches that Barcelona loves, and he is only 36 years old, but he has tremendous coaching experience after his time in Hoffenheim, Leipzig, and Bayern Munich.
Barcelona has been linked to signing more than one coach, such as Thomas Tuchel, Hansi Flick, Mikel Arteta and Roberto De Zerbe.
