Avilés turned to the first day of the Spanish CRE and Relay Duathlon Championships, with great attendance in the streets and with the historic center of the city full of athletes and companions. The women’s team from CEA Bétera, from Valencia, and the men’s team from Peñota Dental Alusigma, from the Basque Country, prevailed in the absolute categories, held yesterday afternoon.

The CEA Bétera athletes prevailed in the female Elite category with a time of 1:02:17; followed by the Galicians from Náutico de Narón, just 18 seconds behind; and less than 50, for those of the Peñota Dental Alusigma. In the Open category, the victory went to the Oviedo Triathlon, ahead of the Casablanca Stadium in Zaragoza and the Las Rozas Triathlon from Madrid.

In the men’s category, Peñota Dental Alusigma prevailed with a time of 52:48, ahead of Diablillos de Rivas from Madrid and Cidade de Lugo Fluvial from Galicia, less than a minute behind the champions and only a second behind. difference between the two. In the Open category, the victory went to Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, ahead of Diablillos de Rivas and Stadium Casablanca.

The first races of the competition were those of the Spanish CRE Duathlon Championship for talents, reserved for cadet and youth ages, with the female victory of the Montilla Córdoba Triathlon, with a time of 30:23. In the Open category of female talents, the Squali Carabanchel Triathlon in Madrid was proclaimed champion.

Regarding the male version of talents, the victory was also for Montilla Córdoba Triathlon, with a time of 26:24. In Open, the Hotel Los Moteros Triatlón Marbella prevailed.

In addition, the day served to elucidate the CRE Duathlon Asturias Championship, with victory for the Oviedo Triathlon against Vetusta Universidad de Oviedo Triathlon and TriGijón in the female category; and victory in the men’s Vetusta University of Oviedo Triathlon ahead of the Oviedo Triathlon and TFC Llanera.

Today the Open and elite Duathlon relay events, male and female, and the Spanish Talent Championship will be held, in addition to the award ceremonies.
