The union structure called Union Syndicale des Enseignants-Chercheurs et Chercheurs de Guinée (USECCG) was created in Guinea. Its objective is to defend the moral and material interests of all staff of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
During a press conference held Friday, October 11 in Conakry, Alphonse Télliano, secretary general and members of the structure attracted the attention of the new authorities and those responsible for education at various levels.
In front of the press, they let it be known that they come to contribute and ensure the development of professionals in the Guinean education sector, particularly in the context of training as well as the improvement of methods, conditions and quality of life. at work.
“The USECCG campaigns for more humane management of IES, IRS and CDI personnel (…). A reflection on all questions relating to higher education, recognition of the teaching, research and innovation mission of all higher education personnel, promotion of a public teaching service, research and innovation of all higher education personnel, in accordance with the values of humanism, secularism and democracy, a development of solidarity between socio-professional categories and the fight against discrimination, a reflection on all questions relating to the evolution of policies and our missions,” say the unionists.
Furthermore, the USECCG has suggested that its doors remain open to those who want to join the structure in its fight: “We are open to all MESRSI teacher-researchers, support staff without exception, without distinction of nationality, race, religion and gender on the national territory. We firmly believe that the diversity of our members enriches our perspective and strengthens our ability to represent the academic community together.
Like existing structures, this new umbrella which brings together teachers and teacher-researchers reassures us to fight for good initiatives: “the USECCG defends the same values and the same conceptions of autonomous unionism. The USECCG is determined to defend all good initiatives aimed at improving the living and working conditions of MESRSI staff within the framework of union plurality and synergy of actions.”
