Clara Sánchez’s novel «The first breath after the rain» (Garzanti, 192 pages, €16.90) was released in Spanish in 1996 and now arrives in Italian, translated by Enrica Budetta. It is a largely autobiographical work, written after the author’s mother’s stroke. «I tried to transform the roughest and most painful part of life into poetry» explains the writer herself, who in this video – during a visit to the «Corriere della Sera» – presents the novel.
