The Governor of Dhi Qar, Murtada Al-Aboudi, announced today, Monday, the laying of the foundation stone for the project to construct streets and sidewalks in Nasiriyah, noting that the governorate’s plan includes the construction of 172 new streets.
Al-Aboudi told the (INA): “The foundation stone has been laid for the project to construct streets and sidewalks in the city of Nasiriyah,” indicating that this “project is vital, large, and important, as its cost amounts to more than 20 billion dinars, and includes various revivals of the city within a schedule.” Year 2023.”
Al-Aboudi added, ”The local government’s plan includes the construction of more than 172 new streets, and we have completed more than 90% of these projects, with direct support from Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani for Dhi Qar Governorate, to provide the best services to the people of the governorate.”
Al-Aboudi stressed that “the local government continues to enforce the law in Dhi Qar, and lift violations in order to provide the best services to the people of the governorate.”
For his part, Al-Azhar Company Projects Director, Ahmed Sabry, confirmed to the (INA), that “the foundation stone has been laid for the construction of streets and sidewalks for the area behind Bint Al-Huda Hospital, Al-Garage Al-Muwahid Street, the Al-Salam neighborhood, and the Martyrs’ neighborhood in the city of Nasiriyah.”
He added, “The project was referred by the governorate to Al-Azhar Engineering Contracting Company, as part of the regional development plan for the year 2023 for a period of 360 days.”
