The order for his punishment fell in court
A police inspector from Plovdiv was reprimanded for a period of 1 month after he refused to accept a citizen’s report that a neighbor’s dog was bothering her. On February 23 of this year, the woman went to the Second District and talked in the corridor with the uniformed officer on duty. She explained to him that the commissaries have a big dog – a darthaar, which barks all night because they leave it alone. The policeman replied that there was no point in filing a report because it would not be possible to help, and added that he had a friend with a similar problem who had to sell his apartment. She left and after a few days filed a complaint with the Municipal Inspectorate, because she found out that this institution can sanction for improper keeping of pets. However, she also met with the then director of the police in Plovdiv, Georgi Chergov, told him what had happened, and so a disciplinary inspection was ordered, as a result of which the employee was punished.
He contested the order before the Administrative Court in Plovdiv, and it has already been canceled because the document does not make it clear what exactly the violation was – that he did not accept the woman’s application, which she did not actually file, or that he did not report on the complaint. The decision is final and not subject to appeal.
