In a Pakistani city Karachiclose to Jinnah International Airport, there was an explosionas a result of which several cars caught fire. According to preliminary data, at least two people were killed and ten more were injured.
As Day.Az reports, Geo TV channel reported this with reference to the provincial Minister of Internal Affairs Sind Ziyu Lanjara.
As a result of the incident, two cars and two motorcycles caught fire.
The minister noted that there were Chinese citizens in the damaged car and suggested that it was a targeted attack on foreigners. An investigation into this fact has already begun, during which video from surveillance cameras will be analyzed. There was also information about the possible use of an improvised explosive device.
An Interior Ministry spokesman added that the attack targeted Chinese citizens, one of whom was injured.
Police initially reported one person dead and six injured, but ambulance officials confirmed that six injured were taken to a medical facility.
