A resident of the Tver region wanted compensation for bad pills, but ended up on the money

A 51-year-old resident of the Krasnokholmsky district became a victim of fraudsters. He reported to the police that 92 thousand rubles were stolen from him by fraud.

It turned out that unknown persons called him on his mobile phone and said that the man was entitled to compensation of 400 thousand rubles for the allegedly purchased low-quality medicines. Only “percent” was required for the transfer – this turned out to be 92 thousand, which the fraudsters asked to transfer to their account, so that they “transfer payments.”

The victim fulfilled the requirement, and then the callers disappeared. Then the man realized that he had fallen for the trick of scammers. Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Tver region are looking for a swindler, a criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”.
