“We encourage synergies between regional initiatives such as the Abidjan initiative and the three Climate Commissions for Africa resulting from the 2016 Marrakech Summit (the Congo Basin Commission, the Sahel Region Commission and the Commission on Island States) and call for pooling efforts and coordinating actions to strengthen African resilience in the face of climate change and contribute to inclusive and sustainable development in Africa,” argued these officials.
