ABB Bank, one of the largest financial institutions in the region, acts as the main banking partner of the international COP29 event, which will be held in our country from November 11 to 22 this year. ABB Bank will take part in the event by presenting its pavilion, where various presentations and meetings will be organized.
Visitors to the pavilion will be provided with information about ABB Bank’s strategic sustainable development goals and the key role of financial institutions in accelerating the country’s green growth. Guests will learn about sustainable trade finance and green investment, supporting banks to increase the share of renewable energy, as well as modern digital solutions such as online banking. Additionally, the unique capabilities of the ABB Biz application for the development of small businesses and the advantages of the Tezödə platform for convenient and fast payments will be demonstrated.
In addition, the event will cover such important topics as digitalization of the banking sector to ensure a sustainable future, implementation of green technologies, sustainable finance in Azerbaijan and the region, as well as the key role of green fintech solutions and climate technologies in the fight against climate change. Participants will be presented with a carbon footprint calculator, issues of sustainable development and raising children in the spirit of environmental values, developing innovative thinking among the younger generation, as well as the important role of women leaders in promoting sustainable development will be discussed.
COP29 will host “Finance, Investment and Trade Day” on November 14, and “Science, Technology and Innovation/Digitalization Day” on November 16. ABB Bank will actively participate in each of these themed days by organizing special events.
The event will also include startup sessions where promising projects that have successfully completed the incubation stage at the ABB Bank Innovation Center will be presented. These startups will have the opportunity to present their ideas to potential investors, which opens up real chances for them to attract funding and further development.
During COP29, a number of important agreements are planned to be signed between ABB Bank and international partners, which will strengthen cooperation in the field of sustainable development and green technologies.
