Title: Toddler Kidnapped to Gaza After Parents’ Murder: Abigail’s Ordeal Grips Heart of Nation

Date: [Date]

In a shocking and heartbreaking incident, a 3-year-old toddler named Abigail was kidnapped to Gaza after her parents were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7. The horrifying event unfolded in their home, leaving behind two traumatized siblings, 9-year-old Michael and 6-year-old Amelia, who witnessed the horrors firsthand.

Abigail’s uncle, Amit, spoke to News 12 about the devastating situation the family is currently enduring, their only hope being Abigail’s safe return. “She is a prisoner without conditions, a 3-year-old toddler. What does she eat? Who caresses her head when she cries? There are terrible thoughts that I don’t wish on anyone,” he stated, reflecting the anguish and concern felt by the family.

Amit recounted the tense hours when he desperately tried to reach his family, only to be shattered by the realization that Abigail was missing and her parents were no longer alive. “The first day was all in a fog, but the truth is that I was able to get one of the children on the phone pretty quickly,” he revealed. During that conversation, Michael and Amelia tragically described the horrifying scene they had witnessed: “They shot Dad, shot Mom, and shot Abigail.”

The following day, Amit received a call from the neighbor, Avichai, who provided additional details. Abigail had managed to escape from the terrorists’ hands and sought refuge in their apartment. Avichai, in a desperate attempt to protect them, grabbed a weapon but returned to find his wife, three children, and Abigail kidnapped and taken to Gaza.

Surviving the nightmare with unimaginable resourcefulness, Michael and Amelia hid in a closet for 14 hours. “They saw all this horror,” Amit revealed, adding that Michael managed to contact the emergency services. The operator advised them to hide in the closet until help arrived.

Amit maintained contact with his nephews, who gave him updates every hour and a half. “When I manage to communicate with them, they tell me: ‘Amit, they will soon come to rescue us, they will come to save us soon – don’t worry,'” he shared. The children, unaware of the unfolding drama outside, remained strong and resilient throughout the ordeal.

Finally, a special team of fighters came to their rescue. Amit coordinated their rescue through his connections, and the team successfully reached Michael and Amelia. In the tense moments of the operation, the rescuers could be heard on the phone urging the siblings to open the door, using Amit’s name as a code. “Sweetheart, this is Amit, open up,” one of the fighters reassured them.

Meanwhile, Abigail’s story has caught the attention of artists across Israel. Many have mobilized and created an emotional video, sending positive messages and pleading for her safe return. “Abigail, we love you. A sweet girl with curls that can cover the world. Where should 3-year-old children be, and where are you now,” expressed Esi Ezer, Ninet Taib, Dodo Aharon, Anna Zak, and others in the heartfelt video.

The nation stands united in support of Abigail and her family, hoping for her swift and safe return. As the search for answers continues, the collective prayer is for healing and justice to be served in the face of this unimaginable tragedy.
