The forecaster warned that it was windy in the capital, as well as snow, sleet and rain. “Exactly at 18:00, a warm atmospheric front approached Moscow, which caused the snow to begin, which, intensifying, would gradually turn into sleet and rain with a short-term deterioration in visibility up to 1-3 km. Wind gusts will reach 12-17 m / s, ”wrote Tishkovets.
He added that the main precipitation will take place until Thursday morning. “In total, up to 8-9 mm of precipitation will fall out. The temperature will rise from the current 2 degrees Celsius to 4-6 degrees Celsius at night, ”said the meteorologist.
The monthly rainfall for Moscow in October is 59 mm, according to the Moscow city news agency.
Earlier that day, the center’s specialists announced that the weather conditions in the European part of Russia in the coming days will change at a kaleidoscopic speed, according to the TV channel “360”.
On Thursday, the storm will cover almost the entire European territory of Russia, especially its central part. The increase in wind is associated with warming, which begins in St. Petersburg. Following the cyclone, which caused the cooling, one Atlantic vortex immediately follows, in the distribution zone of which there is very warm air.
Such changes in weather will be accompanied by changes in atmospheric pressure. As it warms, it will fall sharply, forecasters warned.
