As for the Future Bloc, after meeting with the president-designate, it stressed “the necessity of accelerating the formation of a national integration government so that it can carry out its duties within Hariri’s direction and strive to form the national body to abolish political sectarianism.” It also insisted on “a government of 30 ministers, if not less, and fair representation of the regions.” The “Strong Lebanon” bloc, emanating from the President of the Republic’s “Free Patriotic Movement” party, supported the formation of a national unity government that includes the broadest representation of the parliamentary blocs after the election results, and demanded the representation of the Alawite and Syriac sects in the government, the distribution of sovereign portfolios among the smaller sects, and the refusal to dedicate ministerial portfolios to specific sects and political blocs. , considering that “it is time for our bloc to obtain financial and internal affairs, in addition to other portfolios.” For its part, the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, which represents Hezbollah’s representatives, welcomed Hariri’s appointment and noted that “we offered cooperation and the bloc demanded a strong ministry because that is its right.” The bloc also stressed the necessity of adopting the Ministry of Planning, as this clearly defines the path the country is taking.
