Heinz Hoenig has been struggling with health problems for months. Now the actor gave a hopeful insight into his recovery process.
In April, Heinz Hoenig had to be taken to hospital and undergo emergency surgery. Challenging months followed for the actor and his family; the 73-year-old had to undergo another operation and be treated in the intensive care unit for months. He is now back home, recovering for another vital procedure. His wife Annika Kärsten-Hoenig has now indicated in a new post what Hoenig’s condition is currently like.
One of their two sons, Jianni, celebrated his second birthday on Sunday. A day later, Annika Kärsten-Hoenig shared impressions of the celebrations on her Instagram account. Among other things, she published a video in which she dances exuberantly with the birthday child; Heinz Hoenig can also be seen. He moves to the music while sitting and beams up to both ears. “You’ve still got it, baby!” his wife cheers enthusiastically.
Further shots show the whole family cutting the birthday cake and singing to Jianni, Heinz Hoenig also seems happy and relaxed. A little later, Annika Kärsten-Hoenig summed up: “Life cannot be taken for granted. It’s even nicer when you still have each other. You become more aware of that on days like this. Enjoy the time with your loved ones.” Her son’s birthday made her very emotional.
Heinz Hoenig and Annika Kärsten-Hoenig tied the knot in 2019, a year later their first son, Juliano, was born, and Jianni was born in 2022. Hoenig also has two other children from his first marriage, but he does not want any contact with them, as his wife revealed a few months ago. Kärsten-Hoenig brought a daughter into the relationship.
