Actor Vijay’s father’s house confiscated?

CHENNAI–Police security has been requested to ‘confiscate’ the office supplies of director and actor Vijay’s father S.A.Chandrasekhar’s house after not paying 76,000 rupees for the publicity cost of the film as per the law.

Actor Vijay’s father, director SA Chandrasekhar. In 2011, he directed and produced a film titled Crime by Law. The leading actors Sathyaraj and Haris Kalyan acted in that film. To promote this film, he had signed an agreement with an advertising company called TN Visual in Vadapalani, Chennai. Out of the contract amount of 85 thousand rupees, 45 thousand rupees were not paid, the owner of the advertising company Saravanan, in the Allikulam Copyright Court, Chennai. The court heard the case and ordered director Chandrasekhar to pay 60 thousand 750 rupees along with 12 percent interest. In this situation, as the court ordered but did not pay the advertisement amount, Saravanan had filed a petition seeking enforcement of the order. Last month, it ordered the confiscation of items such as electric fan, ‘AC, table’ belonging to director Chandrasekhar in an office attached to a house in Saligram for Rs 1,000.

Dispute
Accordingly, the court staff went yesterday to confiscate the house and office items. At that time, Chandrasekhar’s office staff prevented them from confiscating the items and got into a dispute with the court staff. Following this, the court order could not be executed and a petition has been filed seeking permission to implement the order with the help of the police. Advocate Vijayakumar appeared on behalf of the petitioner.
