Snowboardcrosser Eva Adamczyková will spend only three days in the Czech Republic after returning from the last World Cup race in Canada and will go overseas again. He is going on a month-long vacation in the United States of America.

He hopes that with his newly blonde mane he will have no problem at airport checks. When she returns, she will start preparing for the new season and will also have time for a dance performance with Jakub Mazůch, with whom she finished second in last year’s StarDance.

He does not yet have an exact itinerary for his overseas vacation. “It will be a road trip through about three states. We’re going to Seattle, where we need to return. Mainly national parks, I don’t need cities, I’m not that interested in the American ones, at most galleries. But I’d probably fly to New York,” explained the fifth woman of the last year of the World cup.

She jumped into the season later due to her performance in StarDance and won the very first start in St. Moritz. In the end, that remained the only one in this year. She added three more second places, she did not get on the podium at the last two SP stops. She went to the small final each time, won it three times and was fifth overall, taking seventh place once.

The Olympic winner from Sochi 2014 pointed out that the competition has leveled off a lot in recent years. “You can’t even choose in the quarter-finals, all the girls are already good there. The semi-finals more or less feel like the big final four years ago. But it’s all the more fun,” she described.

While before this season she spent a minimum number of days on the snow due to StarDance, she should complete a full-fledged preparation before the next one. But he also gets on the dance floor.

“We have an event planned with Cuba in May, three days in a row in Ostrava at the end of June and something in Roudnice at the beginning of June. That’s five events,” said Adamczyková.

She would like to dance from time to time. “I would like it. I enjoyed contemporary (contemporary dance), how it is more free, and learning other movements and working with the body. Kuba goes to Prague once in a while for lessons, so I could go to him. But I need to make a package of my training sessions, then I want to have horse training sessions and then the dancing sessions. Unfortunately, time is not flexible, but I would like to,” reflected the 30-year-old snowboard crosser.

For the next season, she is also looking forward to the team races, which she missed last season. The Czech men have improved a lot, so there could be a chance for success.

“In the race when I broke my legs, Honza Kubičík and I were second, which unfortunately paid a bit more for the injury, it was forgotten. I would like it to be normal, and it could be great. For example, Charlotte Bankesová and Huw Nightingale won one team race and I dare to say that Huw drives a class worse than our boys. We are definitely in for the big final,” Adamczyková estimated.

In the next season, she will defend her world title in Svaty Morica, and she should also introduce herself to her home fans in Lower Moravia in the SP race.

“That would be great. It’s a lot of pressure, it depends on how you handle it. We know it well in Lower Moravia, we can test snowboards there more and we trained a lot there on the public track,” Adamczyková added.
