Mumbai: Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, has become Asia’s richest man, ahead of Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani, who continues to be Asia’s richest man. Gautam Adani was in second place.
The assets of the Adani Group stood at Rs 1,500 crore in March 2020. The group’s asset value has increased by more than 5 percent at rocket speeds over the past twenty months.
Especially in the current year, Adani’s assets have increased by Rs 4.12 lakh crore. At the same time, Ambani’s assets increased by only Rs 1.07 lakh crore.
The day before yesterday, Mukesh Ambani’s assets were worth Rs 6.62 lakh crore and Adani’s assets were worth Rs 6.60 lakh crore.
Meanwhile, shares of Reliance Group companies fell yesterday. At the same time, the value of shares of Adani Group companies increased. Gautam Adani has now become Asia’s richest man ahead of Mukesh Ambani.
