The Financial Superintendence of Colombia has announced an important adjustment in the rates of the Mandatory Traffic Accident Insurance (SOAT) for the current year, based on the annual variation of the Tax Value Unit (UVT), which has experienced a significant increase of 10.97%.
This change, as announced by the entity, aims to ensure the necessary resources to provide the required care to victims of traffic accidents, as well as to cover associated operating expenses.
Among the most notable modifications is an adjustment of 18.4% in some rate categories. This adjustment is based on a thorough analysis carried out by the SFC, which has taken into account the increase in the insured vehicle fleet and the impact of the discounts granted to gas and electric vehicles.
