Uganda Makes History by Qualifying for T20 World Cup

African team Uganda has created history by qualifying to play in the T20 World Cup for the first time. The World Cup T20 cricket series will be held in West Indies and USA next year, and Uganda will be among the teams competing for the championship.

The Ugandan team’s qualification has sparked congratulatory messages from various players and T20 teams, with many already beginning their preparations for the upcoming series. England all-rounder Ben Stokes, for example, has skipped the IPL cricket series to focus on the World Cup T20.

Uganda secured their spot in the T20 World Cup after defeating Rwanda by 9 wickets in a qualifying round match. Rwanda batted first and was bowled out for just 65 runs, with Uganda reaching the target in just 8.1 overs while losing only 1 wicket.

The news of Uganda’s qualification was celebrated by the players, who expressed their joy through dance. On the other hand, the Zimbabwe team, which is ranked 3rd in the African region, has lost the opportunity to play in the World Cup T20 series.

The World Cup T20 cricket series will feature a total of 19 teams, including USA, West Indies, Australia, England, India, and many others. The series is scheduled to take place from 4th June to 30th June next year, and cricket fans all around the world are eagerly awaiting this highly anticipated event.
