Dhe US news channel CNN is under new management again. After just a year at the helm of the station, Chris Licht will be replaced, said the head of the CNN parent company Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, on Wednesday. A four-person team consisting of CNN executives Amy Entelis, Virginia Moseley, Eric Sherling and David Leavy will temporarily run the station until a new boss is found.
“We are in good hands, which gives us time to conduct a thoughtful and thorough search for a new boss,” Zaslav wrote to the workforce.
A series of mishaps and declining ratings had recently caused more and more criticism of the light. He took over Jeff Zucker’s top post last year with a mandate to move CNN more to the political center.
Licht’s reputation was damaged by, among other things a live broadcastwhere CNN offered ex-president Donald Trump a campaign stage.
