In 2025 there will be 16, three more ATP 500 tennis tournaments, which include the Erste Bank Open (from October 20th), than this year. This emerges from the tournament calendar for next year published on Friday. Dallas, Doha and Munich can look forward to an increase from a 250cc event. A total of 60 tournaments in 29 countries will take place, including the Generali Open in Kitzbühel (ATP-250), which starts on July 20th.
Kitzbühel has great competition with the simultaneous tournaments in Umag (clay) and Washington (hard court), which are considered preparation for the Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto. As usual, Vienna has to “fight” with Basel for the best players and takes place in Paris the week before the Masters 1000 event. In this tournament category, the events in Toronto and Cincinnati were each extended to twelve days, as was done in Rome, Madrid and Shanghai last year.
The game will no longer be played in Estoril in 2025. Instead of Cordoba, Wimbledon will be played on grass in Mallorca. In terms of dates, Hamburg is changing from July to May. The season-ending ATP Finals tournament will take place in Turin, and the Next Gen ATP Finals will then be held in Jeddah for the third time in a row.
