After the Foreign Ministry issued a travel warning to visit Ukraine in light of the possibility of an attack from Russia, Arkia announces that it will operate two rescue flights to return Israelis from Ukraine to Israel. According to the company, thousands of Israelis have applied to be allowed to leave Ukraine.
The flights will operate from Kiev, on Monday (February 14) and Odessa on Tuesday (February 15) and the company emphasizes that as there is additional demand the company will set up additional flights. The price of the flight to Israel is about $ 300. Israir will also operate special flights from Kiev to return Israelis. The price will start at $ 305 including 8 kg of hand luggage.
El Al has announced that it will also operate additional flights to and from Kiev. At this point a flight was added on Monday, and ticket price starts at $ 250.
Recall that the Foreign Ministry issued a travel warning to Ukraine following the “aggravation of the situation” in tensions between Russia and Ukraine. The Foreign Ministry’s recommendation to Israelis staying in Ukraine is “to consider staying in the country and to Israelis planning to come to Ukraine the recommendation is to consider avoiding it at this time.”
The Foreign Ministry also announced the evacuation of the families of Israeli diplomats and workers at the embassy in Ukraine.
