New twist in the case of the attack on PSG player Kheira Hamraoui. His former teammate, Aminata Diallo, was arrested and placed in police custody this Friday morning, said the Versailles prosecutor’s office.
Three men have also been in police custody since Thursday, after being arrested on Wednesday at their homes and questioned by investigators from the Judicial Police (PJ) Crime Prevention Brigade. They acknowledged their presence at the scene of the attack, in Chatou, near Paris, but denied being the perpetrators.
On November 4, 2021, PSG player Kheira Hamraoui was attacked with iron bars by two men, in front of one of her teammates, Aminata Diallo, as they returned together from a team dinner which had place in a restaurant in the west of the capital.
The rivalry hypothesis
The hypothesis of a rivalry between the two Paris Saint-Germain players, who play in the same midfield position, was initially considered.
Aminata Diallo – as well as one of her friends, imprisoned in Lyon (center-east) – was then placed in police custody. The player finally emerged free, without any charges being brought against them. But according to the JDD, after months of investigation, the hypothesis of the rivalry is again on the table and the player is suspected of having sponsored the attack on her teammate, still according to the weekly.
Aminata Diallo, who has been without a club since the end of her contract at PSG, has always strongly contested being involved in the attack on Kheira Hamraoui.
