In order to facilitate and carry out this operation, a precise census of the population was carried out by joint committees responsible for evaluating the files, case by case, to determine the beneficiaries of financial support on the basis of a technical inspection of the buildings affected on the ground.

Indeed, the provincial authorities are sparing no effort to ensure the implementation of the reconstruction and rehabilitation program in the affected areas. In this wake, Hassan Laabidi, of the Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, indicated that the construction and rehabilitation of damaged houses were completed in record time at the level of 9,600 housing units, adding that this figure should reach 12,000 housing units by at the end of January. In a similar statement, Mr. Laabidi specified that work on 11,227 housing units is in progress, while 3,783 buildings are in the completion phase, knowing that the construction operation started in April 2024.

Along the same lines, Hassan Eghighi, of the Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, noted that the reconstruction operation faced, during the first phases, objective constraints which were overcome, citing in particular the existence of areas at risk, classified by the Public Test and Study Laboratory as areas where construction is prohibited or subject to strict conditions. He also mentioned the mountainous and rugged territory of the province as well as the high cost of transporting construction materials and the lack of labor, explaining that the construction of 26,228 housing units requires 4 workers per house, a total of 104,000 workers, a number that is not available in the province. Alongside these tireless efforts made within the framework of the reconstruction and rehabilitation operation, which is progressing at a sustained pace, the province of Al Haouz has seen the implementation of a significant number of development projects which have contributed positively to overcome the consequences of the earthquake.
