Internet user Oscar Llorente Vargas remembers that Claro Quiñones was his teacher in primary school and then in high school.
“He was the one who made me a militant and student leader… For me as well as for many he was ALWAYS a paradigm for his transparency and patriotic fervor…. I faithfully assume that it is one of those on the side: that they love and found. I support him, teacher and secretary”, says the comment to one of his few publications.

In May 2024, just a few days after arriving in the lands of freedom, Claro Quiñones wrote:
“The same sea and the same sky, neither dream fulfilled nor challenge, new stage of life and grateful to everyone who has accompanied me on the HARD path that I am grateful to have gone through, the dream will be that my family is well and for that dream it fights. Thank you God for helping me achieve a new goal. GOD’S TIMING IS PERFECT.”
This is one of the few contents in his personal account, but Alex Otaola was in charge of disseminating some “memories” of the young communist.
When presenting him “in society,” Otaola stopped at the detail of the sweater that the current emigre was wearing, where Che, an icon of world communism, wears.
