At the Euroleague final in 2023, the best Bulgarian basketball player played a great game, but Olympiakos lost dramatically to their Spanish rival.
527 days later, the Greek team took a small revenge and after 79:69 in front of their own audience in Piraeus, broke the series of losses in the most prestigious club tournament on the continent. Thus, “Olympiakos” remained without a loss as a host since the beginning of the new season in the Euroleague.
Vezenkov again showed why he was named MVP in 2023. The star with the highest salary in the Euroleague became the #1 of the game with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Alexander returned to the court 3 minutes before the end and with his trademark three-pointer knocked out his opponent.
In the next match on Thursday, Olympiakos hosts the other Spanish super team – Barcelona.
