The Kirkuk Football Sub-Federation announced on Monday the governorate’s approval to establish a sports and entertainment city to host training camps and sporting activities.
The head of the Football Sub-Union in Kirkuk, Honor Jawhar, told the (INA): “The Governor of Kirkuk, Rebwar Taha, agreed to allocate a plot of land with an area of three thousand dunums to establish the largest sports, tourist and entertainment city in the governorate,” stressing that “the city will be located On the banks of the Little Zab River, within the administrative boundaries of Al-Dibs district and Alton Kubri district.
He added, “This city will host training camps for all national teams in various games because of its geographical and tourist location,” noting that “the approval came after the head of the Football Association, Adnan Darjal, addressed Kirkuk Governorate.”
