FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The presence of Muhammad Qodari, Executive Director of Indo Barometer, at the Hambalang Retreat event which was attended by candidates for deputy ministers in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet sparked great speculation in the public.
Qodari, who has long been known as a political observer, suddenly became the spotlight after a photo of him with the deputy ministerial candidates in Hambalang circulated to the public.
In his statement, Qodari confirmed that he was invited directly by the President-elect, Prabowo Subianto, to attend the event.
“Indeed, I was called to Hambalang, I took part in a briefing event or Hambalang Retreat,” said Qodari when confirmed, Friday (18/10/2024).
Qodari’s presence raises a big question: will Qodari enter the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet as a deputy minister? Responding to this, Qodari only gave answers that increased public curiosity.
“I also met and chatted with Pak Prabowo about helping or not, what position he would take if he did help. “We’re just waiting for the exact date, October 20 or 21,” he said.
More than just a formal meeting, the Hambalang Retreat also provided a lot of new learning for Qodari. He praised the concept of the event which he said was very insightful.
“The materials provided are very insightful and very good. “The speakers are also good, so Pak Prabowo has opened this process very well, with very high enthusiasm and optimism,” he admitted.
This activity in Hambalang is also an opportunity for participants to strengthen networks and synergies. Qodari assessed that this event was not only about technical briefing, but also strengthening relations between Prabowo’s potential assistants in the cabinet.
