The Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA) was the target, this Thursday, of a cyber attack and the location available. The gov.br portal and authentication services, such as Chave Móvel Digital, are also offline. In contact with PÚBLICO, AMA guarantees that the problem is being solved, however, there is still no forecast that the service will start working again.
Three statements published in social mediaThe AMA points out that the “disruption to its network” occurs “as a result of a computer attack” and, therefore, “access to various digital platforms and services, which may have a direct impact on the activity of an entity different public and private. ” yes, “preventively, it is not available”.
According to the AMA note, “security protocols were immediately activated to respond to this type of attack, to restore normality to all operations, and national authorities competent in cybercrime were also involved.”
CERT.PT, a service that is part of the National Cybersecurity Center (CNCS), “is monitoring the incident and providing support in terms of mitigation measures and in the recovery phase”, the cyber security center explained to Agência Lusa.
